The Euro 21 is almost starting, and while we wait for it the U-21 championship will end with an amazing duel between two titans. Germany has beaten the Netherlands and secured a place for itself in the finals this Sunday. Their opponents in the battle for the title will be Portugal, who has recently defeated Spain thanks to an own goal by the Spanish team at the 41st minute of the 2nd half.

Finishing first in the qualifying phase of the competition, Germany arrived as the great favorites in the group phase of the EuroCup. Thus, the Germans qualified in second place in group A with five points, one win, and two draws, behind only the Netherlands.

In the quarterfinals, they overcame Denmark on penalties and, in the semifinal, beat the Netherlands 2-1. Now, the German team seeks its third title in its seventh final in history while Portugal their first, in their third appearance after the 1994 and 2015 defeats.

The Under-21 Eurocup grand final will be held on Sunday, June 6, 2021, starting at 7 p.m. (GMT) at Stozice Stadium in Slovenia. The last time they met, in 2015 in the semi-final of the tournament, Portugal beat the Germans 5-0.

With reduced attendance, UEFA requires up-to-date testing and vaccinations for everyone in the tournament stadiums, requiring proof of daily testing, as well as quarantine if necessary.
