With 4 teams, this group is complete and will be played in Rome. Even if there is a lot of time after the competition starts, Italy is, so far, the favorite to shine over the other teams of this group.

Italy

Italy had a good start in the qualifying matches. In their first game, they won 6-0 against Liechtenstein and 0-3 in the duel with Greece, to mention just a few. And in all the matches, Italy scored 3.7 goals per game and did not lose any of it. After the disappointment of not classifying to the last World Cup, Italy is finally back to a big tournament. They came back more competitive and they can impress in this group with his new young talent.

Switzerland

This team did not show their best in the qualification for Euro 2020. However, they managed to reorganize their game and put up a more solid defense. After being eliminated in the 8th finals in the big tournaments (such as the previous edition of the World Cup), the team aims higher at the 4th finals. Switzerland has an average of 2.38 goals per game, making them, alongside Italy, the strongest team in group A.

Turkey

Turkey’s defense was a surprise in the qualifiers. The team is made up of a squad of very young players who will be given the opportunity to show their talents by Güneş. In the qualifiers, their surprise game was against France. They managed to take 4 points away from the world champions and draw 1-1. This team is irregular and they lack cohesion, but they have players who will stand out and will be able to keep a good rhythm, in defense: Çağlar Söyüncü and in offense: Cengiz Ünder and Cenk Tosun.

Wales

Wales may be the surprise of this group. This is the second time in the history of the team that they participate in a tournament of this magnitude. Remember that in Euro 2016 they were the “Cinderella” who reached the semifinals. Although it was difficult for them to qualify, they finished unbeaten in 6 games and have new additions who play in the big teams of Europe as Ben Davies, Tottenham, and Daniel James.
