Definitively, this is the group we all want to watch in action very soon as it sums up a total of 6 Euro titles among three powerful teams. Additionally, Hungary is one of the best teams from the ’50s and they look ready to come back to the top after so many years. France will be able to repeat the final of the last edition against Portugal and maybe they can revenge it. Finally, Löw will show his progress with a renewed and always dangerous Germany.

Hungary

Hungary used to be a great team in the middle of the last century. Along with Puskás, the team succeeded and become part of the football history, but then they just vanished. Now, they seem to be back again after reaching their second consecutive Euro. The bad news is that they find themselves in a group that looks very difficult to advance. Portugal

This might be the last group, but it includes the current champions, Portugal. The team won the last edition of this tournament with a very defensive display. However, after claiming the title, Portugal improved their offensive side and now they have players who can join Cristiano Ronaldo in the attacking zone. The names Bernardo Silva, Joao Félix, and Guedes are secured in the front row and even Bruno Fernandes is giving a new version on the attacking midfield. There is no doubt that Portugal has the resources to defend the UEFA Euro title.

France

The team lost the final in the Euro 2016 against Portugal, but this didn’t affect them and won the World Cup two years later. Didier Deschamps will have no surprises in the squad and this might end up being a bad thing. However, their quality can’t be dismissed and France is able to adapt itself to different scenarios in each game. Giroud, Mbappé, Kanté, Pogba, Lenglet, Varane, and we can keep going on with French stars that makes this squad a team of being afraid of. Germany

An always competitive Germany closes Group F. It sounds strange, but they are not favorites for this Euro. In the last World Cup, they couldn’t even advance from the group stage. Also, their qualifiers weren’t so bright. Don’t get it wrong, they finished in the first position, but we have to recognize that this is not the killer team we have seen in the last decade. The coach Joachim Löw started to build a new generation of players and this might take an extra couple of years.
