Fresh is the word we could use to define this group. We have new teams joining the competition and some others coming back to the big leagues. There is no doubt that the Netherlands are the big favorite to take the first place, but words can vanish very fast in a balanced group like this one.

Netherlands

This is one of the big teams in Europe that didn’t qualify for the 2012 and 2016 editions. However, they had a good League of Nations and also won against Germany in the Euro qualifiers. Now, they are ready to come back. The group has new young players who are shining and creating a brand new and solid base such as De Jon and De Ligt. Ukraine

Ukraine have had only two participations in the Eurocup, but both were in the last editions. This means that, for the third consecutive time, the team qualified, showing that they are here to stay. Ukraine obtained a new ticket after beating Portugal which is great. Under Shevchenko’s guidance, the young and renewed Ukraine has shown how good and fresh can be this national team. Let’s remember that the U-20 team won the World Cup before, and names like Buletsa, Supriaha, and Lunin, could be part of the main team very soon. Austria

Austria is not a team with big names, but surely their rivals will keep an eye on them. Still, they have players on big teams such as Internazionale, Bayern Munich, and Hoffenheim. The squad has true power on the offensive side and it helped them to join a new edition of the Euro. However, their qualifying group (G) was not hard and only Poland had better results than Austria. North Macedonia

As we have just mentioned, North Macedonia is not one of the best football teams for this Euro. After 7 attempts, they obtained their first ticket to a Eurocup. They made history in their last match against Georgia and now their dream is a reality. The coach, Igor Angelovski, has been with the team since 2015 and now he created a great combination of youth and experience.
