The second day of the 2020 UEFA European Football Championship starts at 3PM CET with a match between Wales and Switzerland. It doesn’t look to be a very exciting match, but it’s good enough to warm up for the beginning of the Championship. Here’s our prediction:
Wales, while able to boast some good placements in some major tournaments in the recent years, didn’t do all that good in qualifying. Their spirits are, however, high, and the team has their goal set on getting out of Group A. The chances of them winning aren’t high, but there are quite a few interesting choices for team props available.
Switzerland, objectively, is a much better team than their opponents for this match. Unlike Wales, are regulars at international stage. In qualifying, they managed to score 10 goals more than the second place in their group over just 2 games, which is an impressive feat.
The two teams haven’t met in a match of such a scale in nearly a decade, so there is no sense in comparing H2H. For the record, however, Italy won 5 times against Wales’s 2 victories. This may boost their ego ahead of the first match of the championship. They can hope for a 3-pointer, but it is not likely to put them in the lead of the group. In all of these matches combined, the average number of goals scored neared 2, which makes Over 2 a safe enough bet.
