The playoffs results are here! The games culminated on November 12. In total, 16 winning teams of the UEFA Nations League groups participated. These matches were determined by the draw that took place in November 2019.

The 4 groups of the UEFA Euro Championship are complete now. There were only 4 slots left to qualify for the 2020 UEFA Euro Championship which, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, had to be postponed until 2021. Finally, the teams that completed the slots and will participate in this competition are Hungary, Slovakia, Scotland, and North Macedonia. Let’s see the final matches results that gave them the victory and classified them:

Path A: Hungary – Iceland

The game ended 2-1, Hungary achieved their second consecutive qualification in tournament history after coming back from the match. After the goal from Icelandic midfielder, Gylfi Sigurdsson, Hungary managed to tie it in the 88th minute with a goal from Loïc Négo. Subsequently, Dominik Szoboszlai scored the goal that declared the victory and classified them in injury time.

Path B: Northern Ireland – Slovakia

The Slovenian midfielder, Juraj Kucka scored the first goal in the 17th minute. The 1-2 victory was slow to come in this exciting match and he did so in the 110th minute of extra time with a goal from the defender, Milan Škriniar. What managed to classify the Slovenian team for the second consecutive phase.

Path C: Serbia – Scotland

After taking the lead with a goal from the forward, Ryan Christie, in the 50th minute, it seemed that Scotland would have the victory. However,  Luka Jović’s goal in the 90th minute equalized them 1 – 1. As a result, they extended the game to overtime and then to the penalties. The latter,  ended 4 – 5 and Scotland qualified for the first time since 1996. This is great news for the Scots because it is also the first time since the 1998 World Cup that they have managed to qualify for a major tournament.

Path D: Georgia – North Macedonia

This match was the only one of the playoff finals to end 0-1. The longtime forward, Goran Pandev, sentenced the victory for North Macedonia in the 56th minute of the match. If you wanted to know when the selection will be play, you should check the fixtures of the UEFA Euro Championship
